An Abia state Indigine born and raised in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria, Dr. Kanu has always been driven by a passion for healthcare and a commitment to improving the lives of those around him. His academic journey began at Winners International Schools, followed by Federal Government College Nise, where he laid a solid foundation for his future career in Physical therapy. He then pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, graduating top 5 of his class with an impressive CGPA of 4.42 out of 5.0 (3.65/4.00 WES) in 2021.
Dr. Kanu's career trajectory is marked by diverse and extensive experience in both clinical and volunteer roles. His professional journey began at Landmark Physiotherapy in Nnewi, where he volunteered his services prior to the challenging period of the COVID-19 lockdown. He then gained further experience through mentorship by one of the leading physiotherapy establishments; Titans Physiotherapy clinic where he refined his physiotherapy skills across various patient demographics. His commitment to hands-on patient care continued with roles at Easy Life Diagnostics Center handling cover jobs for start-up hospitals, and primary health care centers where he treated a wide range of conditions, emphasizing patient education and individualized treatment plans.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kanu has demonstrated a robust commitment to research and academia. He has contributed to multiple research projects, including studies on stroke prevention and the utilization of e-learning technologies among physiotherapy students. His works has been published in reputable journals such as BMC Public Health and Elsevier, highlighting his contributions to understanding stroke risk and management in African communities. Kanu’s research endeavors are supported by his roles as Research Assistants to various PhD and masters students, where he collaborates with esteemed mentors on various groundbreaking projects.

He founded Favi Xhub, a digital academy that specializes in teaching essential soft skills like graphic design, copywriting, and video editing, where he has successfully trained a diverse group of students. He is also the founder of Oasis Care Consult, a pioneering healthcare initiative focused on addressing the holistic medical and rehabilitation needs of patients through innovative approaches such as Concierge Medicine, Telemedicine, and TeleRehabilitation.
